New head winemaker for Ross Estate

Ross Estate, one of Australia’s acclaimed wineries, has appointed one of Australia’s most experienced oenologists, Mr. Neville Falkenberg as its Chief Winemaker & General Manager.

Announcing the appointment, Ross Estate’s Anne Ross-Manfield said, “We were fortunate to have enticed Neville Falkenberg to take total responsibility for winemaking at Ross Estate Wines after Rod Chapman retired after 45 years in the industry.”

Neville is very highly regarded in the industry, being the Barons’ Inaugural “Barossa Winemaker of the Year” in 1998 as well as numerous other accolades for his winemaking achievements. Neville is well known in the Australian wine trade for developing Penfold’s White Grange, Yattarna, whilst Senior White Winemaker for Penfolds.
